Carpet Type & Installation
Some carpets are easier to remove than others. Glued-down carpet, heavily stapled materials, and older installations can require additional time and effort.

Removing carpet padding, staples, and wooden tack strips is part of our standard residential carpet removal when present. How they're installed can affect the time needed to complete the job.

Carpet installed over hardwood, tile, or other finished flooring may require extra care during removal to avoid unnecessary damage.

Donate, Recycle or Dispose?
Worn wall-to-wall carpet generally has to be disposed of. We do not promise that it will be donated or recycled.
No carpet-recycling guarantee
Carpet recycling options are limited, and we do not guarantee recycling. Materials are disposed of according to what local facilities accept after pickup, not a recycling promise.
Haul it off the property
We load and haul away the carpet, padding, and tack strips removed during the job, leaving the work area clear of carpet debris before we leave the property. No bagging is required.

Do you install new flooring?
No. Carpet removal is pull-up, padding, tack strips, and hauling. We do not install carpet, vinyl, hardwood, or any replacement floor.
Do you remove carpet padding and tack strips?
Yes. Padding and tack strips are part of a standard carpet removal when they are there with the carpet.
Can you remove glued-down carpet?
Glued-down carpet is not a standard offering. Send photos and we will tell you whether that specific job is something we can do. Specialty flooring and subfloor repair are not advertised services.
Do you pull carpet on stairs?
Yes. Stairs can be included. They take more labor than an open room, so they belong in the photos and the price.
What do you do with the old carpet?
We roll it, load it, and haul it to an appropriate facility with the padding and tack strips. We do not promise that carpet will be recycled or donated.
How is carpet removal priced?
Room count, stairs, padding, tack strips, and the carry to the truck. Glued-down carpet, if we accept it at all, is priced separately after we see it. You get an upfront price before we start.
